Role Summary:

Randstad USA is seeking a Coater Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Aurora, IL. This position is responsible for operating and supporting coating equipment while ensuring production quality, order accuracy, and efficient machine performance. Ideal candidates will have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. ️

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum:

Manufacturing or quality environment experience preferred Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately Basic math and measurement skills strong attention to detail and order accuracy Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing High school diploma or GED required

Preferred:

Experience operating coating, converting, or packaging equipment Forklift experience or willingness to learn Familiarity with hand tools, floor jacks, cranes, saws, or knives

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to stand/walk for extended periods Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs Exposure to elevated temperatures and moving equipment PPE and safety procedures required at all times

$43,000•$50,000 per year shift: Third work hours: 5 PM•5 AM education: High School Responsibilities Review coating schedules, production orders, and shift handoff information Ensure proper film, adhesive, web path, and run conditions are set correctly Check adhesive solids and catalyst mixtures before production runs Inspect coated material for film and coating defects Monitor coating weights and product quality throughout production Prepare changeovers in advance to reduce downtime Complete production paperwork and quality documentation accurately Perform basic machine maintenance and report mechanical issues Maintain a clean and safe work environment Support other plant operations and production needs as required Follow all coating operator work instructions and safety procedures The essential functions of this role include: wearing steel toe shoes manual lifting up to 50lbs standing for 12 hours at one time Skills Trimming Pallet Jack Operation Crane Carrying Time Management Lifting Quality Control Equipment Calibration Film Coating Precision Measurement Material Handling Documentation Qualifications Years of experience: 2 years Experience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
