Job Description

General Production Worker Job Description This role supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by cleaning, finishing, assembling, and organizing molded plastic products to meet strict quality and customer specifications. The General Production Worker / Finisher works with hand and power tools, follows detailed written instructions, and helps ensure that all products are accurately labeled, safely handled, and prepared for shipment in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Clean and finish molded products so they meet company quality standards and customer specifications. Install and add accessories or components to completed products according to work instructions. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during finishing and assembly tasks. Accurately label, package, and organize orders for shipment to ensure correct and timely delivery. Follow written work instructions, production guidelines, and standard operating procedures consistently. Read and interpret a basic weighing scale for raw materials such as resins to support production needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift. Assist with general production tasks, including machine operation and general labor, as needed. Support machine operators and the production team with tasks related to finishing, assembly, and material handling. Safely lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis. Work effectively in a hot, noisy, and physically active environment while maintaining attention to detail and product quality. Essential Skills Previous experience in manufacturing, heavy machine operation, construction, or general production (preferred). Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and production guidelines. Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products. Mechanically inclined and comfortable working around machines and production equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment that may be hot and noisy. Capability to safely lift and move materials up to 30 pounds. Reliability, dependability, and a strong work ethic in a team-based production setting. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bensenville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
