Job Description
Job Title:
Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate works on a fast-paced production line in the Latex department, where paint, stains, and aerosol products are mixed, filled, labeled, and packaged. This role focuses on operating packaging and filling equipment, monitoring product quality, and preparing finished goods for palletizing and distribution. The position requires consistent attendance, the ability to stand for the entire shift, and comfort working in a hands-on, industrial environment where you will get dirty while handling paint in containers ranging from single quart cans to five-gallon buckets. Responsibilities Operate conveyor, filling, and label machines to support the packaging and filling of paint, stains, and aerosol cans. Select jobs on the machine interface, enter batch numbers and target weights, and monitor automated filling and weighing processes. Ensure cans are filled to the correct weight, and allow the machine to reject and push aside any cans that fall outside tolerance. Replace rolls of labels on labeling equipment as needed to maintain continuous production. Place stacks of boxes on the production line so the machine can automatically pull down boxes, load paint cans, and tape them shut. Monitor boxes as they move up the conveyor and coordinate palletizing activities in the adjacent room. Operate forklifts, when required, to label pallets, remove them from the conveyor, and stage them in the warehouse. Assist with unloading trucks of materials, primarily empty cans and related packaging components. Work collaboratively with a small team in the Latex department to meet production goals and support increased volume during busy periods. Follow all safety procedures, including use of required personal protective equipment and adherence to dress code guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work area despite working with paint and related materials that can create a dirty environment. Support receiving, production, and distribution activities within the facility as needed. Demonstrate reliable attendance and the ability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive production and packaging tasks.
