Production Designer

Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced Environmental Signage Designer to support the development and production of environmental branding assets. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented designer with a strong background in large-format production and signage systems who can create, organize, and package files for high-quality execution across physical environments. This is a remote, 12-month contract to start with potential to extend. While remote, designers local to the Chicago area will be prioritized by the client. Project Focus + Environmental branding production + Large-format signage + Visual assets for built environments Day-to-Day Responsibilities + Create production-ready files for environmental graphics and signage + Clean, organize, and package working files for internal and vendor use + Resize and adapt graphics across multiple formats and applications + Prepare print-ready assets for fabrication and installation + Ensure quality control and technical accuracy across environmental design materials + Support the development of signage, wayfinding, and branded environmental elements Requirements Technical Requirements + Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign + Experience with large-format printing, fabrication materials, and substrates + Ability to prepare die lines, cut files, and color-accurate proofs + Strong file organization and layer management skills + Familiarity with wayfinding systems, signage standards, and exhibit design Top Must-Have Qualifications + Strong background in production design, especially large-format or environmental branding work + High level of technical accuracy in file preparation and production setup + Experience designing for signage, wayfinding, or exhibit environments + Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite Innovation starts with people.® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
