Production Specialist Brella Beverage Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time $18 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Food production Teamwork Food processing High school diploma or GED Industrial equipment Full Job Description Position Summary Brella Beverage is seeking a detail-oriented, hardworking Production Specialist to support daily beverage manufacturing operations. This role is at the heart of what we do — help produce and package our clients' products while upholding the consistency and quality they expect. You will work directly with the production team in a fast-paced environment where your attention to detail and team-first attitude make a real difference. Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage Production Operate production line equipment to produce Brella's beverage products in accordance with batch records, SOPs, and quality standards Monitor production processes to ensure consistency and quality in every run Report equipment issues, line stoppages, or quality deviations promptly to the supervisor Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout and at end of each shift Packaging & Labeling Ensure all finished products are properly filled, capped, labeled, and packaged per product specifications - ensuring quality standards are met Perform visual inspections to catch and remove defective or non-conforming product Stage packaged goods for shipment or storage in designated areas Shipping & Receiving Assist with the shipping process to ensure accurate and timely delivery Receive inbound materials, verify against purchase orders, and communicate discrepancies to the supervisor Prepare outbound orders for carrier pickup, including labeling and documentation Inventory & Materials Track raw material and finished goods inventory; alert the supervisor of shortages, overages, or discrepancies Handle materials safely and in accordance with storage and handling requirements Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes as needed Quality Control Conduct and document in-process quality checks to verify fill weights, seal integrity, label placement, and overall product appearance Document quality observations and escalate non-conformances per established procedures Follow all food safety, sanitation, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines at all times Safety & Compliance Make safety the number one priority in every task — immediately escalate any observed safety issue Follow all plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the shift Team Collaboration Work closely with production operators, supervisors, and cross-functional team members to keep the line moving Communicate clearly and proactively about production status, issues, and needs Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance Please note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors Must be a reliable team player with a positive, get-it-done attitude Ability to commute to Chicago, IL 60622 (required); candidates must be within a 25-mile radius Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in beverage production, food manufacturing, or a related industrial environment Familiarity with packaging equipment such as fillers, cappers, or labelers Experience with inventory management or basic shipping and receiving processes Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar tools EducationMinimum Required High School Diploma or equivalent Who We Are — Our Values At Brella Beverage, we operate by a set of values that define how we show up every day.
