Full Job Description Salary Range:
$21.00 - $24.00 + Performance bonus up to $10.00 an hour.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Finishing technicians in the production of brass rod products in our production facility in Cicero Il. This role will include, but not limited to running the coil lines, material handling associated with the movement of material throughout the entire facility. All team members will be required to work in all areas of the operation. TYPE OF POSITION
Full Time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS
Setup, run and operate drawing equipment. Team member will be responsible for all aspects of the process (Loading, Running, Trouble shooting, Maintenance, Tooling, Quality, housekeeping, and safety) related to the manufacturing process. Team members are expected to take initiative and work collaborative across the entire manufacturing process. Perform visual inspections of material and equipment to ensure product quality and equipment reliability. Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with brass material. Capability in using measurements tools - Calipers and micrometers. Running a forklift and other material handling equipment. Bundling material for final shipment. Good basic Mathematical skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 1 year experience running coil lines, but 3-5 years preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, bending in fast-paced production facility.
