Job Title:
Production Worker Job Description The Production Worker operates computer-based label printing equipment and prepares labeled plexiglass components to support efficient production workflows. This role involves using an industrial printer, handling and trimming labels, and organizing work orders to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Responsibilities Operate a computer and industrial label printer to create accurate labels for plexiglass components. Apply printed labels to cut plexiglass, ensuring correct placement, alignment, and adhesion. Use scissors and other cutting instruments to trim stickers and labels to the required size and shape. Print and fold work orders according to established procedures. Place completed work orders in the appropriate mailboxes or designated locations for processing. Support general production activities such as packing, assembling, and inventory-related tasks as needed. Follow established production, labeling, and packaging standards to maintain quality and consistency. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, materials, and equipment. Adhere to safety guidelines while using cutting instruments and production equipment. Essential Skills Ability to comfortably use computers for production-related tasks. Experience operating label printers or similar production equipment. Basic skills in production, packing, and general assembly line work. Ability to apply labels accurately to products such as plexiglass components. Competence in using scissors and other cutting instruments safely and precisely. Attention to detail when printing, folding, and organizing work orders. Ability to perform general production and labeling duties in a fast-paced environment. Experience with inventory, labeling, and general production workflows. Capability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a packer or labeler. General production, assembling, or packing environments. Familiarity with inventory handling and basic production documentation. Strong organizational skills for managing work orders and labeled materials. Work Environment The work environment is a production setting where you regularly use computers, an industrial label printer, scissors, and other cutting instruments to complete labeling and packaging tasks. You will handle cut plexiglass and printed materials, working with production, packing, and assembly processes. The role involves standing for portions of the shift, performing repetitive tasks, and working around standard production equipment. You will follow established procedures for organizing and placing work orders in designated mailboxes, contributing to an orderly and efficient workflow. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Grayslake, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
