Job Description

EXPERIENCED MACHINE TOOL BUILDER/FABRICATOR
We are seeking several Full-Time, highly experienced, metal working, machine tool builder candidates. We are an industrial machinery rebuilder with a high focus on gear manufacturing equipment. The products we are providing to the industry are pre-owned machines which have either been recertified by our technicians, fully rebuilt, or highly modified and recontrolled machines. In the position of Machine Builder , you will be responsible for assembling and modifying components according to blueprints, manuals, and engineering requirements. Responsible for complete mechanical machine assembly, machine rebuilding, machine alignments, hydraulic/lubrication/pneumatic piping and assembly, guarding installation, startup and testing and maintaining adherence to customer and ISO/DIN specifications.
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Machine or sub-assembly tear down and cleaning with documentation of original assemblies.
  • Inspection and identification of defective components.
  • Cataloging of necessary replacement components.
  • Re-assembly of machine with new components, proper fit and alignments or adjusted alignments back to OEM tolerances.
  • Install or repair fluid power systems. Includes pipe bending, hose making, layout etc.
  • Installation of new or repaired machine guarding.
  • Assist with electrical component installation like duct ways, switches, cable tracks etc.
  • Some shop floor engineering talent is required to rectify unusual assembly or fluid delivery issues.
  • Travel occasionally
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned
Job Skill Requirements:
  • Read, understand and follow engineering prints, shop orders, and standard work documents to accomplish the assembly, rebuild, and plumbing of machines.
  • 3+ years recent experience at any machine tool OEM with mechanical assembly and machine building
  • Knowledge of bearings, bearing preloads, scraping, machine alignments
  • Experience with Hydraulics, Lubrication and Pneumatic systems.
  • Able to operate overhead cranes and fork trucks
  • Must have own tools
  • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Able to obtain a passport
Educational Requirements:
  • College, High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of machine building apprenticeship or journeyman's preferred
