Material Coordinator

at Robert Half in Milan, Illinois, United States Job Description Description Robert Half is hiring a Material Coordinator for a large manufacturing client to support material flow and order fulfillment on 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM). This role plays a key part in keeping operations running smoothly and supporting the largest department on the shift. What You'll Do + Support the implementation and stabilization of a new EWM system within the existing operation + Coordinate materials for the largest department on 2nd shift, ensuring accurate and timely order delivery + Direct and support picking teams to keep orders moving efficiently + Monitor picking progress and update order statuses using warehouse management systems + Quickly resolve issues such as missing materials, damaged goods, or system errors to minimize delays + Track productivity metrics, report results, and suggest process improvements + Work primarily in menu-driven manufacturing systems, with occasional use of Excel + Cross-train as backup support for other department functions Work Environment & Requirements + 2nd

Shift:

2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (overtime possible) + Steel-toe shoes with metatarsal protection required on day one + On your feet for the majority of the shift + May operate a company-owned Cushman vehicle on the shop floor after training + Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, now or in the future.
