12:00am-8:00am Join a dynamic injection department team and play a vital role in producing high-quality plastic components. This Operator position offers hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, providing an excellent opportunity to develop manufacturing skills and contribute to a leading plastics company in Mundelein, IL. Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Follow standard operating procedures to perform tasks such as packing, sonic welding, printing, assembly, flash trimming, cleaning, and sorting of parts
- Accurately count, wrap, and pack parts according to specifications
- Maintain pace with production machinery and assembly lines to ensure consistent productivity
- Conduct quality checks on own work and identify defective parts using job aids
- Use small hand tools and processing equipment safely and appropriately
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow Work Instructions and immediate reporting of excessive scrap to the foreman
- Punch in and out daily according to company policies
- Sort products and fill out production cards as required
Operator Requirements:
- Good hand-eye coordination, sharp vision, and the ability to distinguish colors
- Manual dexterity and concentration for extended periods, especially during repetitive tasks
- Ability to read and write in both Spanish and English
- Capable of light lifting up to 50 pounds and handling production piece parts
- Ability to work under time pressure and multitask effectively, either independently or as part of a team
- Must wear closed toe shoes, cotton gloves, cut-resistant gloves, ear plugs, and safety glasses at all times
- Work will be performed on-site in the production areas, a non-climate-controlled facility with potential exposure to noise, dust, and fumes
