Production Associate Job Description The Production Associate manufactures reagents in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role focuses on weighing, mixing, filling, packaging, and maintaining accurate production records while ensuring the production area and equipment remain clean, organized, and compliant. Responsibilities Manufacture reagents by weighing, mixing, filling, and packaging materials in strict alignment with established SOPs and cGMP requirements. Fill cubitainers, bottles, or pouches based on product type and perform kit assembly and kit packaging as needed. Set up, operate, and manage packaging equipment to support efficient and accurate production. Ensure all products and components are properly labeled in accordance with documented procedures. Thoroughly and accurately complete documentation at each stage of production to maintain full traceability and compliance. Maintain accountability and traceability of non-inventory production items throughout the manufacturing process. Perform production operations efficiently to meet the production schedule and support on-time delivery to customers. Execute rework procedures according to established SOPs when required to address nonconforming products or components. Maintain the production plant and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition on an ongoing basis. Participate in the annual physical inventory count and support related inventory control activities. Use hand tools and test equipment as needed to support production and mechanical assembly tasks. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards. Essential Skills At least 1 year of manufacturing or production experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to consistently lift 50+ pounds. Strong written communication skills for accurate documentation and recordkeeping. Strong oral communication skills for effective collaboration and coordination. Experience with production assembly or manufacturing operations. Ability to perform mechanical and production assembly tasks using hand tools and test equipment. Capability to follow detailed SOPs and work within a regulated production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a cGMP or other regulated manufacturing environment. Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes. Comfort working with automated or semi-automated production and packaging equipment. Experience in general production or medical device assembly environments. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a production and assembly environment with opportunities in both general production and medical device assembly. The general production position operates in a manufacturing setting in Mundelein, while the medical device assembly position operates in a similar environment in Vernon Hills. The work follows a first-shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will work around production and packaging equipment, use hand tools and test equipment, and handle materials that require careful weighing, mixing, and filling. The environment is process-oriented and cleanliness-focused, with an expectation that the production area and equipment remain organized, clean, and compliant with SOPs and cGMP standards. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mundelein, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
