Experience Level:

Entry Level (0-2 Years) to Intermediate (2-5 Years) The company is seeking a detail-oriented individual as a Designer responsible for developing production-ready models and drawings for industrial heat transfer equipment. Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and refine 3D models of industrial equipment using SolidWorks.
• Generate complete, production-ready 2D drawing packages for fabrication and assembly.
• Apply clear and accurate dimensions to ensure proper fit-up of components (sheet metal, tubular, and pipe assemblies).
• Modify and finalize models generated from internal configurator tools (typically ~80% complete).
• Identify and resolve model and drawing issues including scaling errors, interferences, and known bug-list items.
• Collaborate directly with production personnel to validate designs and improve manufacturability.
• Visit the shop floor as needed to observe assembly, troubleshoot issues, and verify fitment.
• Measure existing components and develop replacement or custom parts when required to support production.
• Communicate with vendors to obtain specifications, drawings, and 3D models of purchased components.
• Other design and production support duties as assigned. Required Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience with demonstrated CAD proficiency may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred; other CAD experience acceptable).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how components fit and function together.
• Ability to create clear, accurate fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
• Ability to identify and resolve practical fit-up and manufacturability issues.
• Comfortable working directly with shop personnel to validate and improve designs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors to obtain technical information.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a production-driven environment.
• Positive, proactive work style with a focus on delivering usable, buildable designs.

Salary Range:

• $22.

13 / hour (entry level) to $31.63 / hour (intermediate)
