Job Title:
Line Leader Job Description Join a once in a lifetime opportunity to develop your career with an amazing organization! As a Line Leader, you will cross-train line employees on various production lines and lead huddles to coordinate daily activities. You will organize and guide line employees to ensure timely starts, efficient order processing, and adherence to production schedules. This role involves setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and adjusting production equipment such as fillers, coders, scales, and sealers. You will also manage product and packaging materials to maximize line efficiency and train operators and associates, including those on LOTO-certified lines. Responsibilities Cross-train line employees on various production lines. Lead Tier 1 huddles and coordinate daily activities. Organize line employees for timely starts and efficient order processing. Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust production equipment. Manage product and packaging materials for optimal line efficiency. Train operators and associates, including cross-training on other lines. Prioritize order processing related to shipping requirements and production schedules. Maintain communication with team members and report safety or efficiency issues. Ensure safe equipment operation and promote a clean work area. Essential Skills Experience in production and packaging. General knowledge of warehouse operations. Machine operator experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of food industry and general production. Ability to lift items (team lift for heavier items). Flexibility with work hours and potential for overtime. Adherence to food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. Current openings include shifts from Friday through Monday, 4:00 am to 4:30 pm, with Tuesday through Thursday off, and Monday through Friday, 4:00 am to 2:30 pm, with Saturday and Sunday off. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukegan, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
