This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic, and capable individual who is eager to take initiative, challenge the status quo, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. The position will entail the second shift (1pm-9pm). Mornings and afternoon work maybe required also to meet the demands of the business meaning a flexible, 'can do' attitude is therefore paramount. You will ensure the efficient running of machines, ensuring production and quality targets are met whilst maintaining the housekeeping standards of the business. Your main tasks will be related to the assembly of products. There will be occasions where this will vary and include operating and monitoring various machines (setting up, changing over and ensuring the product quality is up to standard), packing and despatching. This is a physically demanding role, so energy, enthusiasm and an ability to do some hand assembly and light lifting are crucial. In addition, your duties will include: Basic production fault finding to identify machine problems Undertaking asset care as part of your daily role Maintaining and driving forward 5s standards Supporting continuous improvement (kaizen system) - design, develop and implementation of ideas. Maintaining the housekeeping standards of the department. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate should have experience working in a production environment and have the following skills and experience: Strong communication and teamwork skills. Excellent time management. Willingness to train and develop. Awareness of quality standards and health & safety requirements as well as their relevance in manufacturing. Able to work under pressure.
