Job Description
Job Title:
Production Associate-all shifts available-Entry level! Job Description The Machine Operator sets up and operates grinding and molding equipment to produce high-quality parts in accordance with standard operating procedures, manufacturing instructions, and engineering specifications. This role involves precise measurement, basic mechanical operation, and consistent adherence to documented processes in both general production and cleanroom environments. Responsibilities Operate department machines and equipment for grinding and molding in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Machine Setup (MS), Manufacturing Procedure (MP) instructions, job orders, specifications, engineering drawings, and special job order instructions. Perform grinding operations in a general production environment and molding operations in a cleanroom environment, following all required gowning and cleanliness protocols. Set up machines as directed, ensuring correct configuration, tooling, and materials prior to production runs. Use tape measures, blueprints, and other measurement tools to accurately measure parts and verify that product dimensions meet specifications. Interpret measurements and basic math calculations to support accurate machine adjustments and quality output. Handle general labor and production tasks associated with machine operation, including loading and unloading parts and organizing work materials. Lift and move materials and product up to 35 pounds as needed throughout the shift. Follow documentation and record-keeping requirements related to production, quality checks, and process steps. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and all safety and cleanliness guidelines in both standard and cleanroom areas. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe work area, with each room functioning as a clearly defined department. Monitor machine performance during operation and report any issues or irregularities to appropriate personnel. Support continuous improvement efforts by learning additional skills that can enable movement into quality or other departments over time. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
