Full-time Nature and Scope:
Under supervision, facilitates product flow by building wire harness samples that follow customer drawings and Bill of Material. The candidate in this position will create Work Instructions that accurately reflect the material, labor, tooling, and production steps needed to build the assembly. This position requires a proactive, inquisitive, multi-tasker who is detailed orientated.

Production Readiness Supervisor Essential Duties:
Reads customer drawings and Bill of Material to build the sample wire harnesses. Verifies material requirements are accurately listed in the Work Instructions. Able to build wire harness nail boards. Create process sheets from work instructions and nail boards. Able to operate a electric continuity tester and hand crimping tools. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations including asking for assistance with lifting heavy items. Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision while adhering to schedules and quotas. Must be able to work as part of a team. Perform related duties as needed by supervisor or manager. Occasional Over Time work during the week or on Saturday as needed. Regular and consistent attendance required.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent. Able to use MS Office programs. 6-12 months related manufacturing or warehouse experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions). Organization skills. Multi-tasking skills. English speaking / Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus Mechanical aptitude and basic machine operation knowledge Inspection skills are highly preferred Basic computer skills (open, save, and locate files. Use programs in the computer.)
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Light to moderate physical effort. Regularly required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, talk and hear, stand, sit and bend. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee on occasion be required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; assistance will be provided. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Cannot be color blind.
