Production Hours:
3:30 PM•2:00 AM Monday•
Thursday Pay Rate:
$19.13 A privately held industrial manufacturing company based in Bluffton, specializing in precision metal stamping and steel component production. Founded in 1946, the company has grown into a long-standing supplier serving major manufacturing sectors.
Summary:
Operates stamping presses (single stroke and progressive die) to produce metal parts while ensuring quality through visual inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate presses, panels, and auxiliary equipment, including die changes Follow process sheets and production instructions Monitor setup, safety, and equipment performance Produce parts at required quality and production rates Inspect parts and report defects or equipment issues Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment Handle materials, remove scrap, and manage lubricants Complete required documentation (job cards, inspection sheets, SPC charts) Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies Stop production if safety or quality is at risk and report issues Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
High school diploma Ability to lift up to 70-90 lbs and perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, climbing) Good vision, communication, and basic math skills Ability to use or learn measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Knowledge of or willingness to learn production equipment and quality standards (SPC) Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality/production targets Reliable attendance and adherence to safety requirements Pass pre-employment drug screening
Steel Toed Boots Work Environment:
Manufacturing setting with loud noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures; requires use of safety equipment. #portland
