Back Collator Operator Light Industrial & Manufacturing Fort Wayne , Indiana Contract to Hire Oct 1, 2026 Collator Operator - 2nd Shift Fort Wayne, IN Peoplelink Staffing is seeking a dependable and motivated 2nd Shift Collator Operator to join a growing production team in Fort Wayne, IN. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with long-term career potential.
Collator Operator Job Summary Pay:
$19.00 per hour Shift Schedule Training Schedule (1-2 Months): 1st
Shift:
Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00
PM Regular Schedule After Training:
2nd
Shift:
Monday-Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM Job Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor collator equipment to produce business forms and printed materials according to customer specifications. Load paper, forms, and other materials into production machinery. Perform quality inspections to ensure accuracy, proper alignment, print quality, and product consistency. Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency. Accurately complete production paperwork and maintain production records. Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report maintenance concerns to supervisors. Package completed products and prepare orders for shipment or the next stage of production. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Meet daily production goals while maintaining company quality standards. Follow all safety procedures and machine operation guidelines. Collator Operator Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, machine operating, printing, or production experience preferred. Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus. Willingness to complete training on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift. Why Peoplelink Staffing?
