Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining production machinery to meet quality, efficiency, and safety goals. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to maintaining high manufacturing standards. This position is a second-shift position starting at 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery safely and efficiently Follow standardized work instructions, procedures, and safety regulations Inspect equipment and perform routine TQM (Total Quality Maintenance) checks Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure quality standards Identify and report mechanical, safety, or production issues promptly Track hourly production results and communicate equipment status to supervisors
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to follow standardized procedures and safety guidelines Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Clear communication and teamwork skills High school diploma or GED required
Preferred:
Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred, but not required Experience operating CNC or other industrial machinery a plus On-the-job training provided for motivated candidates
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and chest-high when required. Able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
