Position Summary:

This assistant will report to the Retort Supervisor and is responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to them. Creating shelf stable product for our valued customers.

Essential Job Duties:

Regular worksite attendance. Pressure cooking product for commercial sterilization Load and unload baskets into retort machine Maintain accurate documentation

• Assist in cooking process as needed under supervision of Retort Supervisor
• Assist in verifying retort process by completing paperwork required for filing.
• Other duties as assigned, includes assisting in various production areas on an as needed basis.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Must be able to read and understand technical instructions Detail orientated person required for this position Ability to complete tasks in timely manner Capable of lifting/pushing 40+ lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Must always wear personal protective equipment Participates actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs, and training sessions
