Job Description
Job Summary Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:- Safe and effective operation and minor adjustments of all packaging equipment.
- Proper handling, packaging, labeling, coding and marking of product.
- Accurate and timely sampling of materials and communication to lab.
- Accurate and timely documentation of your production day.
- Safe, healthy and clean work environment.
- Report all accidents or near misses to Lead/Supervisor.
- Willing to support other production lines and assist Spray Operators.
- Regular on time attendance.
- Proper and timely communication of equipment performance to Operators/Leads.
- Effective evaluation of the quality of all packaging raw materials consumed in the operation. Report any defects you encounter to Lead/Supervisor.
- All product change overs are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and with a group in accordance with the company safety & sanitation standards.
- Basic computer skills: Access, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to work on your feet the majority of the day.
- Moderate to heavy stair climbing (including vertical ladders)
