Job Description
Production Machine Operator 3433 NW 18th Street, Topeka, KS 66618 Full-time Full-time What This Role Is This is not a general labor position. This role owns one of the most critical pieces of equipment in our shop—the edge bander. What you produce will directly impact: The quality of our finished product The pace of production The success of the entire operation You will be responsible for running your machine well, producing clean and consistent output, and keeping work moving. What This Role Isn't Not a 'helper' role Not standing around waiting for direction Not low-skill, repetitive work with no ownership You are expected to take ownership of your station and your output. What You'll Own Machine Operation Set up and operate the edge bander Run parts accurately and efficiently Maintain consistent output throughout the day Quality of Output Ensure edges are clean and banding is properly adhered No defects, gaps, or inconsistencies exist Catch and correct issues immediately Production Throughput Keep work moving without unnecessary downtime Maintain a steady, reliable pace of production Material Handling Load, stage, and manage parts at your station Ensure smooth flow into and out of your machine Machine Care & Upkeep Keep your machine clean and maintained Identify issues early and communicate them Shop Contribution Support overall production as needed Work as part of a coordinated team What You'll Do Day-to-Day Set up your machine for the day's work Run parts through the edge bander Inspect your output continuously Adjust settings as needed to maintain quality Keep your station clean and organized Communicate issues or delays immediately What We're Looking For Reliable and consistent—shows up and performs every day Strong attention to detail Takes pride in producing clean, quality work Able to maintain focus in a production environment Willing to learn and improve Preferred Backgrounds Woodworking or cabinet shop experience Manufacturing or production environment Experience operating machinery (edge bander a plus, not required) What You'll Get Steady weekday schedule (no weekends) Clear expectations and consistent workflow Opportunity to develop real production skills A role where your work directly impacts the final product Who This Is For Someone who wants to take ownership of their work Someone who values consistency and doing things right Someone who prefers hands-on work over sitting at a desk Someone who wants to get better at a trade Who This Is Not For Someone who needs constant direction Someone who cuts corners on quality Someone who struggles with consistency or focus Someone looking for a temporary or short-term job About Us Cabinetry & Millwork Concepts builds commercial cabinetry and architectural millwork for healthcare, financial, and educational environments.
