Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Industrial Sewer for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position is responsible for manufacturing tarp components, completing tarp repairs, and removing and reinstalling tarps as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating industrial sewing machines , be comfortable performing physically demanding work, and be able to accurately read drawings, dimensions, and a tape measure. Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture and repair tarp components Install piping, Velcro, and other tarp components Perform tarp repairs and replacements Remove and reinstall tarps requiring the use of ladders Read and follow drawings containing measurements and dimensions Accurately use a tape measure Use or work with hot air welders Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Maintain a clean and safe work area Perform other related production duties as assigned Requirements Previous industrial sewing experience required Extensive knowledge of sewing machines and sewing techniques Experience installing piping and Velcro Must be able to read drawings with dimensions Must be able to accurately read and use a tape measure Familiarity with hot air welders preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
