Job Description
- Job Title: General Production Worker
- Job Description
- The General Production Worker supports manufacturing operations by assisting welders, operating forklifts, unloading trucks, assembling drawers, and performing tasks such as powder coating and painting. This role contributes directly to efficient production flow, product quality, and timely order fulfillment on the shop floor.
- Responsibilities
- + Support welders with production tasks and material handling to ensure efficient workflow.
+ Operate forklifts safely to move materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
+ Unload and load trucks, ensuring materials are handled correctly and placed in designated areas.
+ Perform drawer assembly and other general assembly tasks according to work instructions and quality standards.
+ Assist with powder coating and painting processes, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
+ Operate production and general machinery as required to support manufacturing activities.
+ Carry out general labor and production duties, including cleaning work areas and organizing materials.
+ Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and company procedures while working on the production floor.
+ Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate daily tasks and resolve issues.
+ Participate in a 30-minute interview and any required onboarding steps to demonstrate readiness for the role.
- Essential Skills
- + Experience with forklift operation in a production or warehouse environment.
+ Ability to safely unload and load trucks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
+ Hands-on experience with assembly work, including drawer assembly and general production tasks.
+ Comfort working in a general labor role that involves physical tasks and machine operation.
+ Capability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail while performing repetitive tasks.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience supporting welders or working in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting.
+ Familiarity with powder coating and painting processes in a production environment.
+ Ability to operate various production machines with proper training.
+ Willingness to participate in a 30-minute on-floor interview with a supervisor as part of the hiring process.
+ Reliable work habits, including punctuality and consistent attendance.

- Work Environment

Work is hands-on and physically active, including material handling, assembly, and operating equipment such as forklifts and production machinery. The environment may include exposure to noise, powder coating and painting processes, and typical industrial conditions. Team members follow established safety procedures and guidelines and wear appropriate work attire and protective equipment suitable for a shop-floor setting.

- This is a Contract position based out of Elizabethtown, KY.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $17.
00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
