  • Job Title:
    General Production Worker
  • Job Description
  • This role supports a leading glass and glazing manufacturer by performing hands-on production work in a glass processing facility. You will operate machinery, handle materials, and contribute to the safe and efficient production of high-quality glass products.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Operate production machinery and equipment to support glass manufacturing and processing activities.
+ Handle glass materials safely throughout the production process, including loading, unloading, and staging materials as needed. + Assist with general production tasks such as preparing work areas, organizing materials, and supporting continuous workflow on the production line. + Use forklifts or other material-handling equipment to move raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products within the facility, following safety procedures. + Monitor machines during operation, report issues or irregularities, and support basic troubleshooting or adjustments under guidance. + Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment when working with glass and machinery. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support efficient production and reduce risk of accidents. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals, quality standards, and shift targets. + Complete required documentation or basic production records accurately and in a timely manner, as directed.
  • Essential Skills
  • + Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with the ability to perform hands-on, physical work throughout the shift.
+ Ability to operate or learn to operate production machinery safely and effectively. + Forklift operation experience or the ability to learn forklift operation in a manufacturing setting. + Comfort working with glass materials and equipment while following strict safety guidelines. + Ability to work 12-hour shifts from Monday through Thursday and maintain consistent attendance. + Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail in a fast-paced production environment. + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a production team.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Previous experience in a glass worker or similar role in manufacturing is an advantage. + Familiarity with machine operation and basic mechanical aptitude is beneficial. + Willingness to learn new production processes, equipment, and safety procedures. + Ability to adapt to changing production priorities and support different tasks as needed.

Safety procedures and appropriate industrial attire, including required personal protective equipment, are an integral part of the daily work environment.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $17.
00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
