• $19 per hour Job Description We are seeking candidates to work as material handlers in a plastic pipe extrusion company.

The role involves removing pipes from the extrusion machine and placing or stacking them onto racks. Once a rack is full, you will band the pipes to prepare them for forklift transportation to scales for weighing. There is an opportunity for forklift certification. You will also perform visual checks on pipes and load defective ones onto scrap pallets. Success in this role may lead to a promotion to an extrusion operator position, which offers higher pay. Responsibilities Remove pipes from extrusion machines and stack them onto racks. Band pipes once racks are full for forklift transportation. Perform visual checks on pipes and identify defects. Load defective pipes onto scrap pallets. Potentially get certified to operate a forklift. Essential Skills General labor experience Material handling skills Willingness to obtain forklift certification Understanding of the extrusion process Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift operation experience is a plus Material Handler 1

• Entry-level, no experience required Material Handler 2
• 2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution Material Handler 3

Work Environment This position is in a large company with multiple divisions, specifically in the plastic piping manufacturing site. The shifts are 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am, following a 2,2,3 pattern. You will work every other weekend, resulting in a schedule where you are off for 5 to 6 months per year. The environment is dusty and not climate controlled. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00
