Job Title:
General Production Job Description The General Production Worker supports manufacturing operations by loading and unloading materials, assisting machine operators, and sorting small, lightweight parts into crates. This role plays a key part in maintaining an efficient production flow and ensuring that parts are handled safely and accurately throughout the process. Responsibilities Load and unload parts and materials to support ongoing production activities. Assist machine operators with day-to-day production tasks, including feeding materials and removing finished parts. Sort small, lightweight parts into crates accurately and efficiently. Handle crates that may become heavy once filled, using proper lifting techniques and safety practices. Perform general labor tasks in the production area as directed by supervisors. Support basic machine operation tasks under guidance, helping to maintain steady production flow. Assist with assembly, packaging, and inspection of parts to meet quality standards. Use hand tools safely and correctly as required for production and assembly tasks. Follow written instructions, including basic blueprints or diagrams, when applicable. Operate or assist with forklift activities if trained and authorized, to move materials and finished goods. Inspect parts and materials visually to identify obvious defects or quality issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency. Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment. Work overtime as needed, including extended shifts, to meet production demands. Collaborate with team members and communicate any production or quality concerns promptly. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $16.50/hr.
