Shift Miller

General Job Description:

Head/Shift Miller is responsible for maintaining the daily milling operations and managing mill personnel.

Requirements:

Must understand and follow company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Personnel Practices. Must understand and explain the use and requirements of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Work 12 hours per day depending on shift rotation. Must have knowledge and experience on rice milling equipment including but not limited to shellers, paddy separators, pearlers, color sorters, aspirators and other machinery pertaining to the rice milling process. Perform minor repairs on conveyors and elevators as needed using hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers. Visually inspect and clean magnets. Keep area clean by using air hoses, vacuum cleaners, brooms and mops. Must clean up spills using shovels and wheel barrows. Work in a dusty environment while handling bulky and heavy materials while exposed to seasonal not and cold temperatures. Be willing and physically capable of performing other tasks within different departments of the mill on a temporary basis as needed. Abide by all safety regulations and standards established by Supreme Rice. Must report all food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action. Portion of this job may require you to lift material weighing 50 lb. Perform other duties directed by your Supervisor.
