Job Summary:
Operate molding/assembly equipment to meet daily production requirements while meeting quality expectations and safety standards. Inspect production and package product. Follow daily schedules, SWIs, and SOPs to produce devices/components that comply with customer specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Complete tasks within assigned work center per product-specific work instructions (SWIs).
  • Read and comprehend controlled work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform visual inspection of product for defects as specified in work instructions.
  • Segregate and document rejected/scrap product using SMC?s Red Bin Procedure.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area compliant with 6S and cGMP.
  • Maintain accurate required documentation and follow GDP practices.
  • Learn and understand Lock Out Tag Out procedure as an affected employee.
  • Verify equipment is operating properly and notify Cell Lead or Shift Supervisor of issues.
  • Notify Cell Lead or QC upon discovery of defects.
  • Abide by clean room procedures and all safety practices.
  • Follow standard work, cGMP guidelines, and other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance and professional conduct required.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • High manual dexterity preferred.
  • Ability to notify supervision when workflow is interrupted or when equipment is malfunctioning.
Physical /
ADA Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, and other movement.
  • Occasional repetitive motion and grasping.
  • Occasional climbing to access machines or racks.
  • Lift/move/transfer up to 50 lbs occasionally; \>20 lbs frequently.
  • Occasional seated keyboard/computer operation.
  • Exposure to typical machine shop hazards (respiratory protection may be required).
Additional Notes:
  • Must adhere to all company safety, quality, and documentation procedures.
  • Position may require participation in training, OJT, or progression per company skill matrix.
