Production Assistant

Join the Tandem Team! This position is responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the production facility running efficiently. The production assistant requires use of machinery like mixers, ovens, dough formers, and the use of knives, food processors, and deli slicers. This position is Monday through Sunday, needing to be avaialbe at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities:

Understanding and adhering to food safety standards and regulations Ensure timely arrival and consistent attendance to shifts beginning at 7AM Ability to stand for long periods of time and work closely with others Selecting bagels for cafes that meet our quality standards with high accuracy Lifting 50# of product (flour, eggs, cream cheese) at a time. Cutting and lifting dough ranging from 20#-40# out of a mixing bowl Prepping large batches of eggs with the ability to organize and sort accordingly Understanding of and ability to follow a metric recipes for a variety of pastries, dressings, condiments, and specialty allergen offerings Scaling, mixing, scooping cream cheese production that meet our quality standards with high accuracy Prepping produce for the cafe and following recipes for prep salads Use of large bakery (ovens, mixers, slicers) equipment safely after training End of shift cleaning tasks that meet our facility standards daily
