Job Title:
Production Associate - Solder Utility I Job Description The Solder Utility I Production Associate is an entry-level role in the solder department that supports manufacturing operations by performing basic soldering tasks and assisting with furnace operations. This position focuses on accurate, efficient, and safe execution of core solder processes while maintaining high quality standards. The role does not include supervisory responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, detail-oriented production work in a team environment. Responsibilities Perform core solder operations, including set-up and charge, pin-stem, fusion, and dapping according to established procedures. Assist with furnace operations by safely loading and unloading furnaces in the proper order. Keep work orders clearly separated and organized throughout the soldering and furnace processes. Move soldered or annealed work to the next production station in a timely and accurate manner. Carry out furnace-related housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to standard operating procedures. Read and interpret work tickets to understand job requirements, specifications, and priorities. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work and resolve production issues. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship on every order. Organize and prioritize daily tasks to meet production schedules and support overall workflow. Use hands and arms frequently to operate tools and handle materials as part of daily production activities. Perform repetitive tasks requiring continuous visual focus while maintaining consistent quality and productivity. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience. Previous solder experience relevant to the techniques used in the solder department. Strong hand-eye coordination to perform precise soldering and handling of small components. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all production tasks. Ability to read work tickets and follow written and verbal instructions. Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors. Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple orders and tasks. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing production work. Frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and handle materials safely and efficiently. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds as needed in the production area. Ability to work safely in an environment with exposure to heat, dust, and repetitive tasks requiring continuous visual focus. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general production, warehouse, or manufacturing environments. Experience in picking, packing, loading, unloading, or packaging operations. Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with standard operating procedures. Ability to maintain a clean and organized workstation and support housekeeping standards. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:45 PM. The work involves standing or sitting for extended periods, with frequent use of hands and arms to operate tools and handle materials. You will regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds as part of normal production activities. The environment includes exposure to heat, dust, and minor workplace conditions typical of a manufacturing facility, as well as repetitive work that requires continuous visual focus. The role follows defined safety procedures, personal protective equipment requirements, and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and efficient workplace. Attire is appropriate for a production and manufacturing setting, suitable for working around furnaces, tools, and materials. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Attleboro Falls, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
