Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing/Production Operator to work from their Taunton MA facility. The Production Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the manufacturing process, including assembly, inspection, and testing of electronic and mechanical components. The role requires adherence to quality specifications, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting continuous improvement activities.QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

Ability to perform more advanced loading and configuring of customer/standard software on customer device Ability to accurately complete process paperwork and entering data into the applicable work order management system Solid computer, communication and time management skills Solid knowledge of measuring/test equipment and math What sets you apart: Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task Commitment to ongoing professional development Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation Basic Knowledge of measuring equipment and math Proficient computer skills and the ability to use computer software applications to create cable markers etc. ious experience in cable assembly or a related/equivalent field Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and schematics Proficiency in soldering and crimping termination Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to work alone or as a part of a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to change direction Perform project tasks/assignments of a complex nature Perform fabrication functions in a production or pre-production environment Assemble cable assemblies, including soldering, crimping and assembly Demonstrates effective rework techniques using acceptable practices including splicing, soldering and crimping per assembly drawing Assemble cable assemblies according to work instructions, diagrams, and schematics Perform soldering, crimping, and other assembly techniques to connect wires and components Perform verification of shorts and continuity on completed assemblies, proving out their work Maintain accurate records of assembly work as required through shop orders and ERP system Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Report any issues or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor Perform other duties as assigned Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects with little direction Demonstrates the skills and knowledge required to effective and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity Maintain and operates equipment/tooling Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities Experience Soldering toJ-STD 001
