Temp-to-hire Position Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for overseeing and executing various stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output. This role requires hands-on manipulation of materials, accurate record-keeping, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Candidates should have prior manufacturing experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Qualifications:
Manufacturing experience required (experience in manufacturing-adjacent roles also considered) Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds Understanding of workplace safety guidelines and ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Core Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Accurately record operational and production data on specified forms Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas using moving equipment and hand tools Visually and physically examine materials, ingredients, and products to meet quality standards Follow work orders closely to meet customer specifications and internal processes Perform routine equipment maintenance and identify when further maintenance is needed Monitor machinery indicators and promptly troubleshoot any issues
Mix/Compound Blending:
Measure ingredients and operate mixing machinery per specifications Transfer and properly label finished batches Complete machine cleanouts between different jobs Submit correctly labeled samples to QA/QC for testing
Screening:
Operate screening equipment to remove impurities Cut, weigh, wrap, and label screened materials to meet production requirements
Milling:
