SLITTER MECHANIC IN BELCAMP, MD

This individual will be responsible for processing, inspecting and slitting metal sheets in the most efficient way possible. Pay, Schedule, and Location $25.16 – $ 30.56 per hour depending on experience Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm 3rd shift: 11pm-7am Located in Belcamp, Maryland Duties and Responsibilities Read Sheet layouts Paperwork Spoilage recording Production recording Understand production schedule. Production to plan Manual slitter settings, adjustments, running and maintenance Guillotine settings, adjustments, running and maintenance Mint Slitters settings, adjustments, running and maintenance Ocsam settings, adjustments, running Strapping of pallets to ensure safe movement of finished pallets Proper labeling of pallet to identify what material is Quality review Documentation of downtime, dec plate traceability, quality and fabrication testing Identify issues that are not identified on inward check Identify squareness issues, or issues that hinder running of decorated tinplate Safety Proper PPE for the jobs being completed Lock out / tag out Housekeeping of immediate work area, pallets and band saw area Forklift operation Bring material from warehouse that requires slitting Unload finished product from back of slitters and put in designated finished area Work safely Participate, as requested, on plant or company project teams Maintain Safe Working Environment Maintain Housekeeping and Orderliness Must be available to work any shift Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned Understands SQF and SQF responsibilities as assigned Requirements and Qualifications Must be able to work independently Function well within a team environment Excellent communication skills Multi-tasking and organizational skills are essential While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, push, pull, twist, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and maybe be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl The employee may be required to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus The employee may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures The employee may be exposed to loud machinery Effective written and oral communication skills — (Salary range based on experience) — ABOUT ACCURATE PERSONNEL
