Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role as a shop assistant, you will support a polypropylene pipe fabrication operation that is in the early stages of growth. This role will include hands-on work with pipe spool fabrication, preparation, layout, and fusion, while also supporting general shop and pump assembly needs as required. We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, willing to learn, and interested in growing with the business as our PP-R efforts continue to expand. Responsibilities Assist with PP-R pipe fusion. Spool fabrication, including material preparation, layout, cutting, and fusion. Learn and follow proper PP-R fabrication procedures as the operation continues to develop. Assist with pump assembly and other fabrication work when needed. Use mechanical tools to trim and clean impellers. Ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist warehouse operations during downtime, including organizing materials, staging orders, and general support as needed. Follow all safety and quality procedures. Qualifications Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and follow instructions. Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to stand, walk, and work on your feet for most of the shift. Must be a Team Player. Comfortable using powered tools. Ability to travel infrequently for initial PP-R training and updates as needed.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
