Job Description

As an Extraction Technician, you are a critical member of the SeaWeed Co. team. In this role, which reports directly to the Extraction Manager, you will participate in the production of a wide variety of oils and concentrates that are truly representative of the quality that SeaWeed Co. is known for in the cannabis community. This is a highly skilled position that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a constant effort to learn and expand your knowledge base.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain a closed loop hydrocarbon ETS extractor, processing fresh frozen cannabis and trim into high quality oils and concentrates. Once trained, this is the largest and most important portion of this role. Participate in pre-production prep including crushing raw material, filling material socks and material handling in and out of walk-in freezer Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) specifically and consistently during the processing of all products Understand and follow all safety protocols, ensuring proper use of PPE when needed Troubleshoot and perform equipment maintenance as needed Record data as needed and trained for each process, using Dutchie (our system of record) and Google Sheets. Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment, supporting the team with regular equipment, work space and dish cleaning to ensure proper sanitation. Assist with Toll material intakes as needed and assigned Assist with production related tasks as needed, including cartridge and concentrate filling, packaging, QC-ing and labelling, as well as flower packaging support when needed. Assist with opening and closing procedures of the building as needed Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age Individual Identification Card and Registry Identification Card issued by the Office of Cannabis Policy of Maine Reliable transportation Previous experience in cannabis preferred but not required Strong organization and time management skills Effective at completing monotonous activities while maintaining quality and minimal errors Detailed oriented mind set with a focus on efficiency, quality and sanitation Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees Team player and experience working on a diverse team Ability to multitask various activities, machines and systems with urgency Ability to occasionally lift up to 50-lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10-hours daily), push, pull, bend Flexibility to work between the hours of 8am and 10pm, Monday through
Friday Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
