Description:
Summary:
The Production Specialist is responsible for reading and understanding electrical schematics, assembling control panels and equipment of varying size and scope to meet client and product specifications. The Production Specialist will also assist with routine shop and equipment maintenance.
Essential Job Functions:
Verify that panel matches layout/drawing Label all components according to the layout/drawing Ensure proper ferrule size and usage Ensure that correct size and type wires are used Verify wires are properly labeled per drawing Ground all metal doors to the enclosure Ensure that non-terminated wires are properly tagged and not susceptible to damage or interference Verify that wire bundles are properly secured Verify all plug-in-bridge jumpers are installed Repairing/Soldering of Amp boards and RAI boards preferred Repairing/Soldering of wires on lights and pushbutton preferred Complete a visual scan of wires and components Check for metal shavings/debris Make sure any corrections are marked on the drawing in red Verify all items on the checklist are completed Ability to work with hand tools and measuring devices Assist the Production department with manufacturing the panels

Blueprint and Schematic Literacy System Troubleshooting Panel Fabrication and Wiring Analytical Problem Solving Mechanical aptitude Understanding safety procedures and hazard prevention Good communication and teamwork skills
Educational & Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent OR relevant experience Minimum of 2 years in mechanical assembly/mechanical repair or associated field is preferred. Trade school training is preferred Industry exposure or experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times Ability to climb stairs and ladders as necessary for job duties Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination, with the ability to manipulate and assemble very large and extremely small components Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
