Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM•11:00 PM (overtime as needed) Position Overview Nesco Resource is seeking experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operators for a growing client in Clinton Township. This role focuses on sewing seating fabric and related materials to meet production and service order requirements. Key Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines to sew fabric, leather, and foam for seat covers and service orders. Assemble individual pieces into complete seat cover sets as specified on work travelers. Assist with material flow through embroidery and sewing operations. Perform routine maintenance and preventive care on sewing machines and related equipment. Inspect products for quality, craftsmanship, and adherence to sewing standards. Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following housekeeping and safety procedures. Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE. Report any nonconformities, hazards, or unsafe working conditions. Support quality systems (ISO/TS 16949) and environmental standards (ISO 14000). Participate in problem-solving, investigations, and 8D processes as needed. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in a cut-and-sew environment (industrial sewing experience required). Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, materials, and patterns. Ability to meet quality standards and production deadlines.
