Brake Press Operator Job
Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate brake press machines to bend and form metal parts per blueprints and work instructionsInterpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine correct tooling and setupSelect, install, and adjust tooling, dies, and machine settings for optimal performancePerform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are metMonitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain product accuracyMeasure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gaugesFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work areaCollaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required1-3+ years of experience operating brake press or similar metal fabrication equipment preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailExperience with CNC brake press machines (preferred)Basic math skills, including measuring and calculating angles and dimensionsAbility to use precision measuring tools (calipers, angle finder, scale) MEC Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to fostering an environment of mutual respect and integrity.
