Position Type:
Full-Time / Contract for 3 months with possibility of extension
Shifts:
5:45am-6:00pm / 5:45pm-6:00am (2-3-2 swing shift schedule) - MUST
BE ABLE TO WORK BOTH DAYS AND NIGHTS AS THESE ARE SWING SHIFTS.
... We are immediately hiring Material Operators and Production Personnel to support operational ramp-up efforts for a major manufacturing facility in northern Saginaw County. •Candidates will be subject to pre-employment drug testing and background check prior to starting.
Responsibilities:
Safely move, stage, and sort materials throughout the facility (non-forklift roles) to keep production lines running smoothly. Load, unload, and sort production components efficiently to keep lines stocked. Assist primary machine operators with core production tasks, processing steps, and component prep. Inspect materials for basic damage or discrepancies while handling. Complete accurate logs and checklists, maintaining focus on exact product specifications and safety protocols. Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe, efficient production environment. Follow all plant safety regulations, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
Skills:
Excellent reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe work practices. Comfort using basic computer systems for data entry and machine tracking. Ability to wear required PPE (including steel-toe boots) and follow precise safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach for extended periods (12 hours per shift). Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs independently. Must be open and flexible to work across multiple shift schedules to support continuous plant coverage (Days AND Nights). Must have reliable transportation in order to demonstrate a reliable attendance record. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
