This position will collaborate with both the Display Project Coordinator and the Operations Manager to ensure clients' faux/replica plant installations and seasonal displays are produced on time and installed professionally at multiple sites throughout the Metro-Detroit area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Confirm work orders convey all information necessary for the production and installation process Provide instructions for installations and attend installations if needed. Leadership skills to manage and direct seasonal labor on fulfilling production timelines; ensure annual holiday work list is maintained and on schedule. Able to do physical work, such as assisting in loading and/or unloading and lifting up to 50lbs. Assist with the fabrication, assembly and overall production of displays, holiday décor, replica green walls and artificial plant arrangements from component materials to finished product. Oversee the production of new holiday items (trees, wreaths, garlands, swags, arrangements, custom orders, etc.) Ensure display production checklists are being followed; and any deviation or substitution of material is noted correctly for accounting purposes. Professional verbal and written communication. Meet project deadlines and work afterhours or on weekends if required. Able to work under pressure and prioritize projects according to urgency. Assist with project estimation; including measurements, labor and materials needed. Assist with tracking, receiving and checking in display products/materials. Communicate with production coordinator to ensure all materials are in stock for installations Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness. Valid drivers license and able to drive a van-sized company vehicle if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

Associates Degree in relevant field preferred; high school diploma required. Certification in a skilled trade (landscaping, carpentry, electrician) a plus.

Communication Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings and specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Basic math.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands:

This position involves heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands above eye level. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Will involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Other Skills:

Must possess time management skills. Basic knowledge of art, design, and or interior decoration a plus. Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team. Must possess a strong sense of urgency. Reliable and punctual.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

A valid Michigan driver's or Chauffeur's license is required with a clean driving record. Pesticide Applicators License Category 7E required. Additional safety training classes as needed by client request.

Work Hours:

Position is full time, Monday through Friday from 7am - 4pm. Additional hours or weekends may be needed base on scope of work for each job.

Pay:

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
