Job Summary Responsible for the daily operations, set-up, and changeovers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities List the primary duties and responsibilities of the role Responsible for actively supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives of the facility. Review and verify daily run schedules. Match run schedule with dies. Assure quality of welds coming off mill. Measure dimensions and length to order and visually inspect parts. Verify product identification (use prints as needed). Complete 1st piece inspections. Properly record and file paperwork. Red-Tag all items with quality concerns. Enter daily production into computer system. Document quality concerns/issues on assurance sheets. Contact the Mill Supervisor immediately with down time. Assist during die changes-overs. Assist other departments when needed. Must maintain general housekeeping and an orderly work area. Responsible for all other procedures and instructions as required by the job function. Must adhere to all safety and environmental policies. Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite for the duration of scheduled shifts, including mandatory overtime. All other duties as assigned by a Supervisor, Lead Person, or any member of Management. Qualifications Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred. Skills and Abilities Requires the ability to read & write. Must be able to accurately read a tape measure. Ability to successfully pass a written exam and physical observation test for an Industrial Truck Permit. The ability to adjust to changing job functions. Capable of working well with co-workers of different cultural backgrounds. Certifications or Licenses None Working Conditions This position primarily operates in a manufacturing environment where exposure to loud noises, machinery, and varying temperatures is common. Employees may also be exposed to dust, fumes, and other airborne particles. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
