- Operate the Brake Press and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
- Select proper die clearances based on material requirements.
- Set up tooling, load programs, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Determine condition of tools and point of re-sharpening.
- Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and a task-focused approach.
Verify the dimensions of work pieces, seeking first-piece inspection approval. Effectively manage machine operations by entering commands or manually adjusting controls to rectify malfunctions or deviations from machining tolerances. Conduct regular quality inspections throughout production to ensure high standards. Skillfully identify, analyze, and address specific causes for rejected parts, contributing to a seamless and efficient production process.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall productivity and efficiency. Strive to meet or surpass production rates while upholding the necessary quality standards. Minimize setup times, ensuring the optimal utilization of machines and tools to achieve maximum output safely and minimize wear on equipment.
- Assemble items as instructed by supervisor.
- Follows all safety rules as outlined in Employee Handbook. Safety glasses must be worn at all times by team members. Qualifications
- At least 2 years of proven Brake Press operation.
- Brake Press set up experience is a Must.
- Must be capable to read micrometers, calipers, and tape measure .
- Experience with Amada Press Brake machines preferred, but not required
- Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
- Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, and Stainless Steel.
- Candidate must have a basic understanding of Brake Press operation.
- Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Candidate must have the ability to read blueprints.
- Candidate must be able to work in other areas of the shop as needed.
- Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work overtime when approved and scheduled by your supervisor. Experience
- At least 2 years of proven Brake Press operation.
- Must be able to set up a Brake Press. Education
- High school diploma or equivalent. Degree preferred.
- National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certificate is a plus. Benefits
