Shipping Supervisor and/or Shift Supervisor SUMMARY Prepares products for shipping and packages products manually in a fast-paced environment by performing the following duties. Operates various machines to slit, cut, shrink wrap, die cut, pad, fold, collate, staple, score, UV coat. Job requires employees to be proficient in at least 5 processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Machinery assignment will be limited for minors. Jogs stacks of paper as needed. Removes samples as needed and put individual orders into boxes. Applies labels to boxes and tape closed. Operates various machinery. Operates business card slitter by feeding sheets of finished full size printed product through machine and cuts to finished size for customer. Operates a guillotine cutter to cut stacks of full-size paper into finished size for customer. Operates machine to shrink wrap products as necessary, making sure paper is even and shrink wrap is tight. Operates rotary die cut machine by mounting an aluminum plate setting up the customers job and feeding full size paper into finished unique shapes for customers. Operates round corner machine by configuring the correct size blade and manually pushing the blade assembly over the stack of finished size product to cut the corner round. Operates padding machine that applies glue to edge of a stack of note sheets. Operates a folding machine feeding full size sheets and folds in half or more. Operates a booklet machine that collates and staples into booklets. Operates a scoring machine that takes full size sheets and Operates a UV machine by feeding full size printed sheets in to machine that applies UV material and exposes to UV light to cure. Inspects product for quality standards (color, toning, ink spots, etc.). Rejects runs that do not meet quality standards. Puts packages (various products) together as needed. Uses hydraulic jacks to move products. Generates shipping labels by entering run numbers into computer. Uses computer to make manual labels. Weighs products as necessary. Double checks each package for proper carrier type before putting onto outgoing pallet specified for carrier type. Communicates with others within the shipping department as well as other departments.
ATTENDANCE/PUNCTUALITY
You are expected to be reliable and punctual in reporting for scheduled shifts. In the rare instance when you cannot avoid being late or are unable to work as scheduled, you must notify your supervisor as soon as possible in advance of the anticipated tardiness or absence. Poor attendance and excessive tardiness may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or actively pursing high school diploma.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement and distance. Ability to read a line gauge in inches, points and picas.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
