Opportunity:
Atlas Staffing has partnered with a quality printing company, and we are looking for an experienced Cutter Operator to join their finishing department. This position combines hands-on equipment operation with team leadership, training, and workflow coordination.
What You'll Be Doing:
Set up, operate, and maintain cutting and folding equipment Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and specifications Ensure accurate trimming, sizing, and folding of printed materials Monitor quality throughout cutting and folding processes Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting Coordinate with scheduling and production teams to meet deadlines Lead, train, and support cutter, folder operators, and assistants Assign daily tasks and balance workloads Serve as the primary point of contact for production issues during the shift Review bindery supplies and inventory and order materials as needed What makes you a great fit: 3-5+ years of experience in print finishing Hands-on experience operating programmable cutting equipment and automated folding systems Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred Strong understanding of paper properties, grain direction, and finishing processes Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to stand for up to a 12-hour period Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift Must not be colorblind and must test above average for color blindness Why work with our client?
