Machine Shop Helper

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and motivated Machine Shop Helper to support daily operations in our manufacturing shop. This position assists machinists and operators with production, material handling, equipment operation, shipping/receiving, and general shop maintenance. The ideal candidate has prior machine shop or trade experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Assist with setup and operation of CNC mills Help operate CNC flame cutting equipment Support operation of Blanchard grinders Clean, deburr, and prepare finished parts Move materials and parts throughout the shop using a forklift Assist with shipping and receiving activities Load and unload materials and deliveries Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and shop standards Work with machinists and production staff to meet production goals Qualifications 1-2 years of prior machine shop, manufacturing, or trade experience preferred Basic understanding of shop tools and industrial equipment Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus) Ability to read tape measures and basic shop drawings is helpful Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Preferred Skills Experience in metal fabrication or machining environments Familiarity with CNC equipment and shop safety practices Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Health insurance (partial) Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for advancement and skill development

Pay:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
