Operations Team Member Job Description The Operations Team Member supports production by sanding, grinding, assembling, and cutting restaurant furniture components such as table tops, garbage vestibules, and booths. This role involves consistent use of hand and power tools, measuring tools, and sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing environment, contributing directly to the quality and completion of finished products. Responsibilities Sand, grind, assemble, and cut restaurant furniture table tops, garbage vestibules, and booths according to production specifications. Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete daily production tasks. Use hand grinders and other finishing tools to achieve required surface quality and dimensions. Measure materials accurately using measuring tools to ensure precise cuts and assemblies. Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials, components, and finished products within the warehouse and production areas. Work as part of a cell-based team, coordinating tasks and supporting coworkers to meet production goals. Follow all safety procedures and use issued personal protective equipment, including respirator face cups when needed in dusty areas. Maintain a clean and organized work area, especially in the millwork section where dust and debris can accumulate. Adapt to working conditions that may include warm temperatures, particularly during summer months. Stand and perform physical tasks for up to 10-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment. Participate in training and development activities to build skills in tools, equipment, and production processes. Work mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays as required to meet production demands. Essential Skills 6 months to 1 year of sit-down forklift experience. 1 to 2 years of recent construction, millwork, or cabinetry experience within the last 2 years. 1 to 2 years of recent experience using hand and power tools within the last 6 months. 1 to 2 years of experience using measuring tools to perform accurate measurements. Ability to stand for 10 hours in a manufacturing environment, verified through past work experience. Proficiency with general labor tasks in a production or construction setting. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, including hand grinders. Capability to work with general production and assembly processes. Comfort working in a dusty millwork area and in warmer conditions during summer months. Reliability in working a 1st shift schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background in construction, millwork, or cabinetry that supports understanding of furniture production. Experience working in a team-based or cell-based production environment. Strong attention to detail when measuring, cutting, and assembling materials. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development. Comfort working with general production and construction tools and equipment. Why Work Here? The millwork area can be dusty, and employees may wear issued respirator face cups for additional comfort and protection. Temperatures can be warm during summer months. The standard schedule is a 1st shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. The dress code includes jeans or shorts, a t-shirt, and steel-toed boots, suitable for a hands-on production environment focused on safety and practicality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenyon, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
