Job Description

Scott Equipment builds custom equipment, so we DON'T have assembly lines which means you'll have variety in your day to day work. We are looking for people who fit our culture, are willing to work hard, and show up on time! Primary Objective of the
Position:
Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates. ____________________________________________________________________________________
Major Areas of Accountability:
Operate press break machine and ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned. Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches. Use a CNC controller to input information into machine. Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints. Checks height, depth and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments. Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake. Work with tight tolerances. Produce parts for assembly operations. Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications. Perform spot inspections of parts. Identify assembly parts. Set up light gauge metal. Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum & regular steel). Check machine for defects and report repair if necessary to maintenance for appropriate repairs. Read drawings and blueprints. Ensures a safe work environment by following safety requirements and policies. Performs other responsibilities and special projects as assigned Qualified candidate requirements: Ability to take direction, be a team player, and show up on time Ability to utilize a variety of shop tools & machinery Must be able to lift 75 pounds
