Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Punch Press Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Rogers, MN. This entry-level position is responsible for operating punch press equipment, handling materials, inspecting finished parts, and supporting daily production goals. No previous punch press experience is required, making this a great opportunity for someone interested in starting or developing a career in manufacturing. The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, safety-conscious, and committed to producing quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate punch press machines according to work instructions and established procedures. Load and unload materials and components into production equipment. Monitor punch press operations to ensure equipment is running properly. Identify and report machine or production issues to the appropriate team member. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet established quality standards. Identify and report defective or nonconforming parts. Follow production schedules and work to meet established output goals. Handle materials and finished components safely throughout the production process. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow all machine operation and workplace safety procedures. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Assist with additional production and shop responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; no previous punch press experience required. Willingness and ability to learn punch press operation and manufacturing processes. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Mechanical aptitude preferred. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a production team. Safety-conscious and comfortable working around manufacturing machinery. Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements. Ability to safely lift and handle materials as required by the position.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced manufacturing and production environment. Regular exposure to punch press machinery, metal components, tools, and production equipment. Frequent standing and repetitive production activities. Position requires consistent attention to machine operation, quality, and workplace safety. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. Must consistently follow established machine operation and workplace safety procedures.
