Job Title:

General Production Operator Job Description This role involves working on a production line in small teams to operate press machines that manufacture parts. You will rotate through various tasks assigned by your supervisor or team lead, including machine operation, product inspection, and preparing finished items for shipment. The position offers stable full-time hours on either 1st or 2nd shift and provides a clear progression path through multiple operator levels. Responsibilities Operate press machines safely and efficiently as part of a small production team. Rotate through different production tasks as assigned by the supervisor or team lead. Inspect parts as they come off the press to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and report any defects or irregularities in products or machine performance. Stack finished products in an organized manner and prepare them for shipping. Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily output goals. Maintain a clean and orderly work area around the press machines and production line. Handle general labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and positioning materials and products. Work cooperatively with team members to complete tasks and support overall production needs. Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment and compliance with facility safety guidelines. Essential Skills Ability to operate basic production or press machinery in a manufacturing environment. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Willingness and physical ability to stand for a 12-hour shift. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively in small groups. Attention to detail for inspecting parts and identifying defects. Reliability and consistency in following instructions from supervisors and team leads. Comfort performing general labor tasks in a physically demanding environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winona, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
